The HRY Dolphins will be hosting home meets on Tuesdays June 9th and 30th.  The large pool will be closing at 5:45PM for the night and the small pool will be open regular hours. Come cheer us on!

And – it’s still not too late to join the Spring/Summer swim team! Our 14-week Spring/Summer season began April 13th and ends July 17. If you’re new and interested in the team, come to our try out practices during the first week! After the first week, all swimmers must be registered.

  • LEAGUE FEE OF $15 MUST BE TURNED IN WITH REGISTRATION FORM
  • No Bank Draft available during the Spring/Summer Season
  • All participants must be Y members

Practice Schedule/All Levels

Pre- Team
Ages 4-7 who can swim the length of the small pool without floatation
Focus is to help young swimmers develop a good “feel” for the water while having fun
Non-competitive except within the HRY Dolphins Swim Team
Practice 2x per week in warm pool:
Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 – 7:10 PM
Spring/Summer Fees: Household members: $90; Youth and Y-Team members: $113
Developmental Team
6 to 8 year olds (younger with coaches approval); able to swim 2 consecutive lengths of the large Pool (one free, one back)
Focus is stroke development of the four competitive strokes with proper starts and turns
Competition includes other area teams, Invitationals, and League Championships. US Swimming is available
Practice 3x per week:
Monday, Wednesday, 6:30-7:30PM
Friday 6:15 - 7:15PM
Sunday 5-6:30PM
Spring/Summer Fees: Household members: $119; Youth and Y-Team members: $149
Juniors 1
10 and Under group that must be able to perform all four competitive strokes with proper technique, as well as legal IMs, starts and turns; should be able to read and follow a pace clock
Training includes endurance building, developing efficiency, gaining speed, and competitive techniques
Competition includes other area teams, Invitationals, and League Championships. US Swimming is available
Practice 3x per week from many options (see Juniors 2)
Spring/Summer Fees: Household members: $126; Youth and Y-Team members: $157
Juniors 2
11 and 12 year olds (younger swimmers with coaches approval); can swim legal 200 IM as well as all four competitive strokes; proper starts, turns; can read a pace clock
Training includes endurance building, developing efficiency, gaining speed, and competitive techniques
Competition includes other area teams, Invitationals, and Championships. US Swimming is strongly recommended
Practice up to 5x per week:
Monday - Thursday 6:30-8PM
Friday 6:15-7:30PM
Sunday 5-6:30PM
Spring/Summer Fees: Household members: $186; Youth and Y-Team members: $232
Seniors
Swimmers minimum age 13 who are knowledgeable, experienced, proficient in training and competition, and dedicated to the sport
Rigorous training will include intense swimming, distance and spring work, numerous drill to improve efficiency, more advanced competitive techniques, and development of pace strategies
Competition includes other area teams, Invitationals, and Championships. US Swimming is strongly recommended
Practice up to 6x per week:
Monday - Thursday 7:45-9:15PM
Friday 6:15-7:30PM
Saturday 6:30-8:30AM
Sunday 5-6:30PM
Spring/Summer Fees: Household members: $214; Youth and Y-Team members: $267
US/NE Swimming
Summer is long course meets in 50 meter pools
Swimmers and families choose most meets and events for US meets (meet entry fees are your responsibility)
$60 fee includes subscription to Splash (US Swim Magazine); renewal is up in the fall. Register with Coach Jim Hirtle
