Jackie Santos — Member Services Director

Jackie Santos I moved to the Pioneer Valley in 2002. Bronx, NY is my hometown because I spent most of my childhood and teenage years there. I go there once in a while to visit my family. I consider the Pioneer Valley a great place to raise my kids. This is what keeps me here.

I received an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Holyoke Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Umass-Amherst. I worked for a group travel company as an Accounting Intern; worked as a Direct Service Advocate for the YWCA and as a Practice Manager for a Pain Management Clinic. Due to my experience in the Human Services, Accounting and Management field I felt that I could be a great addition to the HRYMCA. I always wanted to work in a family friendly environment specially one that had a Gym in it. What better place then the YMCA! I love working here because I feel empowered by my peers and supervisor.

I’m always interested in learning new things. Special reading interests include: Marketing, Human Resources, Leadership & Exercise topics. When I’m not at work I spend a lot of time with my two kids and recording/ writing new songs. I am currently an ASCAP member. Ever since I was a child I’ve been fascinated with cakes. I started taking cake decorating classes and learned this new skill. Now I decorate cakes for family and friends.
