Katie Byrne writes: This is my first session as a volunteer facilitator at The Garden. I decided to become a volunteer facilitator because I believe in the mission of The Garden as well as my ability to provide a safe supportive environment for the children. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology from UMASS Amherst with an aspiration to work as a school counselor. During our Sunday activities I hope to share my love for the outdoors and arts and crafts with our group of kids. I am looking forward to getting to know all the children and teens this Spring! |

Shevonne Commock writes: I am a junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am excited about The Garden's mission; I am no stranger to grief and it is my hope that I can serve as a vehicle through which some of The Garden's children are able to release and express the feelings they might have towards or in remembrance of a loved one who has died. |
