To Our Valued YMCA Members:

On Monday, Governor Baker communicated his current phased plans. These identified the potential for camps opening in phase 2 and “gyms” in phase 3. The opening of these phases is dependent on a wide variety of facts related to the COVID 19 crisis and do not have confirmed associated dates.  Please click here for more information on the phased approach.

Like many of you, we are also anxious to clarify the plans and get back to our new normal. However, we do not have all the answers. We do continue to work with our State Alliance of YMCA’s, Y USA, CDC, DPH and the ACA to gather more information and definitive guidelines. As with most of the COVID-19 situation, we are leaning as we go. Each day, the information shared across the country is changing, sometimes by the hour. We will work with our local officials to follow recommendations set by the Massachusetts and Local Departments of Health, Y USA and the CDC.

Please know, we have been hard at work developing our protocols and plans based on the facts we do know. These will include social distancing, increased sanitizing and cleaning processes, mandatory staff trainings and facility updates. We will require our staff and participants to comply with all guidelines in order to support the health of our entire community. We will also be posting a survey in the upcoming days and will continue to communicate any information we can with you as soon as possible. We realize the unknowns can be frustrating, please be patient as we strive to safely reopen. Please direct your questions to julie.bianco@hrymca.org.

Thank you for helping us to make our YMCA safe for all!
