The Hampshire Regional YMCA is looking for a committed leader with strong interpersonal skills to join our Maintenance Department! This role would oversee our custodial staff as well as perform hands-on maintenance in our Northampton facility. Job Duties:
- Responsible for supervision of 5-8 custodial staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and all associated administrative duties
- Assist staff with hands-on housekeeping duties 20-25 hours per week, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, cleaning of locker rooms and bathrooms
- Provide on-call services for shift coverage
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and training design
- Assist with setup of facilities for various events
- Keep facility managers up-to-date on status of facility
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years building housekeeping/custodial experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and safe product use
- Ability to organize work and projects
- Ability to work with computer systems specifically Word, Excel and email
- Capable and clear in both verbal and written communication
- Flexibility in work schedule & reliable transportation
$18 – 19 per hour
