The Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a community-minded addition to our facility team! Under the direction of the Facility Director, the Maintenance Assistant will combine regular housekeeping duties with some basic property and building maintenance tasks. Our facility serves people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds, and our facility team is responsible for keeping the space safe and clean for all. The position will be approximately 20-25 hours per week.
Job Duties:
- Perform 10+ hours per week of housekeeping duties including locker room & bathroom cleaning, facility vacuuming, window cleaning, trash removal, etc.
- Perform 10+ hours per week of basic facility maintenance as needed including basic repairs, painting, furniture moving, etc.
- Perform exterior maintenance and landscaping tasks including lawn management, raking, tree trimming, gardening, etc.
- Assist Facility Director in completing work orders submitted by colleagues
- Assist facility Director in ordering approved materials and keeping maintenance inventory
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of basic maintenance experience preferred
- Basic power tool experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and independent judgment
$18 – $20 per hour
