The Hampshire Regional YMCA operates a beloved outdoor day camp called Camp Norwich in Huntington, MA. We are looking for an independently driven, problem-solving Maintenance staff member for Summer 2026! Camp Norwich sits on beautiful Norwich Lake and features several buildings and cabins, sport courts, trails, and more. The camp serves over 200 children per session, ages 5-14. Our Maintenance staff person will assist with camp setup and breakdown, as well as keeping things clean and operational during the camp season. Position begins this spring and ends September/October 2026.
Job Duties:
- Perform custodial duties during the operation of Camp Norwich including sweeping, mopping, bathroom & locker room sanitizing
- Perform outdoor landscaping duties during operation of camp sessions
- Communicate with HRYMCA Facility Director throughout summer to make them aware of facility or supplies needs
- Assist with shutting down of camp at the end of the summer, including dock storage, lawn maintenance, and facility repair
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance role preferred
- Reliable transportation to Huntington, MA at a remote location
$16 – $18 per hour
