The Hampshire Regional YMCA operates a beloved outdoor day camp called Camp Norwich in Huntington, MA. Camp Norwich sits on beautiful Norwich Lake and features several buildings and cabins, sport courts, trails, and more. We are looking for an independently driven, problem-solving Maintenance staff member to assist with opening, closing and running of camp season, so that we can maintain our camp for years to come!
Job Duties:
- Perform small repairs around camp like screen fixing, porch repair, and painting
- Assist with major labor projects including taking down large tents and lake docks
- Assist with cleaning of buildings including lodge and cabins, including tasks like scrubbing, mopping, and organizing
- Perform outdoor landscaping duties including weed whacking, leaf blowing, raking and minor tree & branch work
- Communicate with Facility Director on a regular basis to make them aware of facility or supply needs
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a maintenance role preferred
- Basic knowledge of problem-solving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues preferred
- Reliable transportation to Huntington, MA at a remote location
$19 – $21 per hour
