The Hampshire Regional YMCA gymnastics program includes classes for children ages nine months through middle school. Our instructors teach progressive gymnastics skills in a motivating and encouraging environment while promoting the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Our parent/child gymnastics classes help little ones from 9 months to 4 years old build a solid foundation of strength, muscle control, balance, coordination and overall body awareness.  Children are grouped by age and ability upon registration.

Children ages 3-5 are grouped by age and ability in our preschool gymnastics classes, where they begin to learn progressive handstand and cartwheel weight transfers, balance beam and uneven bar skills, and jumping and rebounding on our spring surfaces.

School age gymnastics classes at the Y introduce concrete skill building techniques on the bars, balance beam, vault and floor exercise to children ages 5 to 14.  Groups are divided by age and ability.

Our Music and Movement class for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers emphasizes moving and having fun with music.  Creative Movement for ages 3-5  provides an introduction to the basic movements and concepts of dance.
