They have multiple offices throughout the area, three being in Northampton. This is a great resource to direct those seeking help on many fronts to a fitting resource for them.

Soldier On

Soldier On provides homeless veterans with shelter, food, and clothing. They have three different housing locations, one in Leeds and two in Pittsfield. In addition, residents have access to treatment groups including Alcohol Anonymous, as well as assistance in resume building, job searches, and financial planning.

Safe Passage

Safe Passage provides emergency shelter for survivors leaving situations of domestic violence. In addition to housing they provide individual and group counseling, as well as support groups for those who have had an experience with domestic violence. These services are for both adults and children of all genders and sexualities, and are provided in both English and Spanish.

Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) Program

This government-run program provides short-term financial assistance to those who are homeless, or at risk of losing their home. These finances can be used towards rent, mortgage, moving, and utility expenses. To be eligible one must be at risk of becoming homeless, or be earning 50% or less than the Area Median Income, or, if the household is at risk of domestic violence, 60% or less.

Grove Street Inn

The Grove Street Inn is a year-round shelter providing a 3-month maximum stay to 20 men and women. The shelter is often full, therefore having a waitlist. It is open during the daytime, providing residents a place to work on job searches and other important endeavors. Residents are responsible for assisting in household upkeep.
