Our four YMCA summer camps provide opportunities for young people to build strong relationships and feel belonging and achievement in unique ways. Camp Koala, Gymnastics Camp and Camp Prospect all take place at the YMCA facility in Northampton. Camp Norwich is situated on beautiful Lake Norwich in nearby Huntington.

Located at our YMCA facility on Prospect Street, this summer camp is for children ages 3-5. Our dynamic theme-based itinerary includes coordinated events and activities sure to stimulate your child’s imagination and creativity!

Whether it’s cooking, arts and crafts, or sports and games, we’ll provide a memorable summer experience for your youngster.

All children can benefit from this amazing and dynamic sport! In order to ensure that summer camp is both fun and challenging, participants are grouped by age, ability and progress level.  We provide a positive and nurturing environment for all children to flourish.

Camp Prospect is a recreational summer camp that focuses on sports introduction and includes activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, physical challenges, and dance & movement. Sports bolster a child’s physical, mental, and social growth when they learn new skills, work as part of a team, and develop self-confidence.

Our role-model counselors will foster a sense of belonging for all campers regardless of age, experience or ability.  Camp Prospect takes place right at our YMCA facility in Northampton, on the corner of Massasoit and Prospect Streets.

This traditional summer day camp experience offers children ages 5-15 many exciting opportunities for growth and discovery on 137 beautiful acres of lake, woods and fields.

Groups of 5-14 same-age campers are paired with two counselors and enjoy activities from the program area of their choice, including drama, athletics, archery, fishing, arts and crafts, woodworking and outdoor living skills. Campers learn new skills, build self-confidence, make lasting friendships and gain an appreciation for the outdoors during their special time at Camp Norwich.

Directions from the center of Northampton:

  • Follow Main Street 0.1 miles and turn Left onto Route 66 West.
  • Follow Route 66 West 12.1 miles to Huntington town line.
  • Make your first right after the town line onto Allen Coit Road.
  • At the first fork stay right on Pisgah Road which becomes a dirt road very soon after fork.
  • Follow Pisgah Road about two miles and make a left at the Camp Norwich sign. The camp entrance is 300 feet on right.
