Being fit is so much more than how much or how fast you can move. As a collegiate rowing coach for more than 20 years I have found the key to achieving strength, speed and power to be in the preparation. In the pursuit of fitness I feel the most overlooked aspect of any training regimen is the development of Functional Strength and Functional Movement.
Regardless of age, fitness level or experience these two areas are quite literally at the center of every movement you make. Development of these areas will go far beyond exercise and spill over into your everyday life.
