HRYMCA Reservation System

  • Members will use a new online reservation system to schedule their time slot in the YMCA for any area – cardio rooms, weight room, circuit room, child watch, large and small pool, racquetball or basketball court.  If you need assistance with the reservation system please call the Welcome Center for assistance. You will need your member ID to create your account, which can be found on your Membership card.
  • Members must have a reservation to be in the building. If a member arrives at the facility and has not made a reservation the staff will review the number of slots available. If a slot is available the staff will train the member on how to use the system and allow them to use the facility at that time. If they arrive past the beginning of their time slot they still have to leave when that time slot is over.  We will continue to assess the needs for reservations throughout our stages and adjust to ensure ease of access as needed.

Aquatics Reservations: See the Motionvibe reservation site for specific reservation times in both our large and small pool.

  • No Call/No Show Policy: If you are not at the building within 30 minutes of your reserved time and you have not called, you may lose your spot.
  • If a member does not show up for a reserved time, we will contact the member to discuss. If this happens 3 times, the member’s ability to access the facility will be suspended for 48 hours.

Arriving at the Y

  1. Parking: Please park in the Massasoit or Prospect Street lots.   The Woodlawn Ave. lot will be closed due to summer camp and outdoor group exercise.  Members may also utilize on-street parking, being respectful of our neighbors and adhering to any posted requirements.

Aquatics Guidelines

UPDATED LAP SWIM INFORMATION:

Click here for lap swim registration timelines

Lap Swimming

  •  Lap Swimming Lane use (swimming/aqua jogging and other lane activities): Due to our current lap swim limitations the HRYMCA will be adding large and small pool lane sharing, with a maximum of two swimmers per lane.   This change aligns with the local and state Health department regulations.  We will still maintain a maximum of 3 large pool reservations per week, per member.  We will continue to evaluate the reservation system as this change is implemented.
  • Our team is reviewing the weekly registrations and will cancel any slots over the maximum of three reservations per week, and will notify the member through the Motionvibe app and via email.
  • All reservation blocks are 45 minutes in length.  Swimmers are expected to observe reservation start and end times and exit promptly at reservation end times.
  • Swimmers are responsible for socially distancing on deck and in the water. Mask wearing is required on deck at all times and is required for water swimmers who do not submerge, including/but not limited to water joggers and water aerobics participants.
  • One swimmer will enter at the deep end of the pool, the other at the shallow end of the pool. Each swimmer will enter the right side of the lane. Swimmers are expected to stay on their side of the lane throughout the reservation.
  • If a member needs to use the chair lift for getting in or out of the pool(s) they will be the first person to get into the pool. When they are ready the lifeguard will lower them into the water and then return the lift to the proper position. The lifeguard will wipe down the seat and remote control. When exiting the pool, the member will be one of the first people to exit the pool.
  • There will be no use of YMCA aquatics equipment at this time.  A member may bring in their own equipment to use for their workout.

Water Aerobics – Small and Large Pool

  • Capacity effective April 5th: We are increasing the number of reservation slots per class in the deep-water classes from 12 to 18 participants. All participants are required to wear a mask while taking the class. The shallow water class capacity in the small pool will increase from 6 participants to 12 participants. All participants are required to wear a mask while taking the class due to increased capacity.
  • Swimmers are responsible for socially distancing on deck and in the water. Mask wearing is required on deck at all times and is required for water swimmers who do not submerge, including/but not limited to water joggers and water aerobics participants.

Locker Room Use

  • Please note locker room capacities are posted. You may enter the locker room 10 minutes prior to the start of your swim or class.  Please wait for your time slot to begin before entering the pool deck.
  • Time restrictions for locker room do not exist, but we do ask that members keep their time to a minimum since there are capacity restrictions for these spaces.
  • Locker Room Expectations: Maintain 6 feet of social distance. Face Covering is required at all times except while in the shower. Members should clean their lockers before and after use with the disinfectant wipes.
  • In an effort to remain socially distant, reservation slots will be assigned a locker room.  The first swim of the day will start in the upstairs locker room and each swim after will alternate between the downstairs and upstairs locker rooms.  We will make accommodations for anyone unable to use the upstairs locker room.

Other Information:

  • Please do not ask the lifeguards if you may enter the water before your time slots begins or stay after your swim has ended.  We understand you may want to swim longer than 45 minutes, but this shift will allow us to accommodate as many members as possible in our pools.
  • Please note after 3:00p M-F and SAT morning 9:00a-12p the pool may be shared with swim lessons or swim team.  During these times only the upstairs locker rooms are available for lap swimmers.
  • Household members (adult couples, senior couples, one adult households, and 2 adult households) may share a lane together, but both members must register for their time slot. Max two people per lane regardless of household.  We can not guarantee that a lane will be available to share with your household member.

Family Swim Time – Small Pool

  1. The small pool will be split in half and each family cannot exceed 5 family members from their same membership unit.
  2. There will be two family reservation slots available for each time slot.
  3. Each family will be designated a universal locker room to use during their reservation time slot. Once each group is done utilizing their locker room they will switch the sign outside the space to red and staff will disinfect the space.
  4. For supervision reasons all family members must be in the pool.
  5. The YMCA will not provide any flotation devices, noodles, etc. Members are welcome to bring their own flotation device.
  6. Any swimmer that requires a flotation device needs to be within arm’s length of their parent/guardian.
  7. Showering before entering the pool areas will be mandatory.
  8. If a member needs to use the chair lift for getting in or out of the pool(s) they will be the first person to get into the pool. When they are ready the lifeguard will lower them into the water and then return the lift to the proper position. The lifeguard will wipe down the seat and remote control. When exiting the pool, the member will be one of the first people to exit the pool.
  9. The pool deck will have directional markings for members to follow the flow on the deck.
  10. There will be no use of YMCA equipment at this time.  A member may bring in their own equipment to use for their workout.
  11. Members will place their personal belongings on a bench at the end of their lane on the small pool deck or in designated locker spaces.
  12. When the lifeguard blows the whistle at the end of the hour block, members will exit the pool and grab their belongings. They have 15 minutes to rinse, change, and exit the facility.

Private and Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons: $140

A private swim lesson will be taught by one of our highly skilled aquatics staff.  Once your private lesson request sheet is submitted, a staff member will contact you to set up a set of four individualized classes.  Private swim lessons will be held in both the large and small pools depending on the availability and the swimmer’s skill set.  Instructors will develop a personalized lesson each class to best suit the swimmer’s needs.

Instructors will meet you at the welcome center desk and escort you and your swimmer to the universal changing rooms and then to the pool.  Instructors will be wearing a mask at all times.  For more information please contact the Assistant Aquatics Director Stephanie Matrow or the Aquatics Coordinator Kevin Walker via email.  Stephanie.Matrow@hrymca.org or Dolphins.swimteam@hrymca.org

Semi-Private: $100

Family lessons give an opportunity for families to have a safe and effective swim lesson experience together.  Family lessons will be scheduled by interested members filling out the request sheet.  An aquatics staff member will then contact you to schedule a personalized set of four lessons with one of our amazing instructors.  There is a maximum of three swimmers from the same household membership per swim lesson.

Instructors will meet you at the welcome center desk and escort you and your swimmer to the universal changing rooms and then to the pool.  Instructors will be wearing a mask at all times.  If parents would like to get in the water and participate in the lesson, they are more than welcome.
