The HRYMCA cardio rooms offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment from Cybex, Matrix and Precor, including treadmills, ellipticals, ARC trainers, AMTs, rowers, stairmills, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, and upper body Krankcycles.  In our Wellness Center cardio space, Programming is available on nine flat screen TVs.

All fitness levels can utilize our Cybex Eagle NX strength-training circuit, complete with two wheelchair-accessible machines. The free weight room contains a wide array of dumbbells, a power cage, and a Cybex functional trainer.

With both virtual and in-person options, our group exercise schedule truly offers something for everyone! Land classes take place in our two spacious and well-equipped group exercise studios. We offer aquatics classes in both the small and large pool.


The Y is excited to offer a new functional training space complete with kettlebells, TRX trainers, slam balls, battle ropes, free weights, plyo boxes, BOSU trainers, and stability balls.  Come check it out!

Wellness Services

The Get Started Program

Get Started 1 (30-45 min.)

This free session will introduce you to wellness at the Y to help you get the most out of your membership! Meet one-on-one with a Certified Personal Trainer to review your fitness goals and learn more about the YMCA classes, programs and services that can help you achieve them.

Get Started 2 (10-20 min.)

This follow up appointment will happen 2-3 weeks after your completion of a Get Started 1 session.  You will meet with the same trainer to deepen your connection to the Y community, check the progress of goals set in your first meeting, and get answers to any remaining questions.

Circuit and Cardio Orientations

Adult (45-60 min.)

A general orientation to our Cybex strength equipment and cardio machines is offered free to new YMCA members. Led by one of our trained Wellness staff, members will learn how each piece of equipment will work best for them and also learn about etiquette in the cardio and circuit rooms. 

Youth (45-60 min.)

Youth members age 12 and older are entitled to work out in the Wellness Center.  They are eligible for an equipment orientation to learn how to operate circuit and cardio machines safely and effectively, and will also learn etiquette rules.  Parent attendance is highly encouraged but not required. 

After their orientation, 12-14 year olds may use the Wellness Center without a parent present. Youth members are required to wear a color-coded bracelet when working out in the Wellness Center to indicate that they have learned how to use the equipment properly. Bracelets may be obtained at the Welcome Center upon check-in.

Personal Training Consult (15-30 min.)

Meet with the personal trainer of your choice to determine if they would be a good match for you and your fitness goals.  Consultations may vary, but topics covered will include wellness goals, health history and nutrition.

Nutrition Consult (30 min.)

Meet with our Registered Dietitian to discuss your nutrition goals and receive some initial information and resources to help meet those goals.  Members will also be connected to existing Y programs and events that relate to their nutrition goals.

Wellness Refresher (10 – 45 min.)

A Wellness staff will help you brush up on how the circuit and cardio machines work if you’ve been away from the Y for a while, have health history changes or just need reminders on correct form.
