We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The mission of the Hampshire Regional YMCA is to strengthen our community by fostering healthy living, the development of young people, social connection and responsibility, in a welcoming environment for all.

The YMCA is a nonprofit like no other. That’s because in 10,000 neighborhoods across the nation, we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise, but deliver positive change. The Hampshire Regional YMCA has been providing wellness and family services to our community since 1880. But the Y is so much more than just a gym; it’s a cause, dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. From athletics to education, health services to safe spaces, the Y helps to meet community needs. As a leading nonprofit throughout the country, the YMCA has the track record and on-the-ground presence to move communities forward, just as we do here in Hampshire County. Since its inception, the Hampshire Regional YMCA has provided valuable resources to nurture the potential of individuals, families and the community as a whole.

Community Collaborations and Support

The YMCA is continuing its long track record of collaborating with area schools, health and human service agencies, local communities and businesses. Working together we are making efficient and effective use of funds, while demonstrating that the YMCA is a strong and stable leader and an effective vehicle for improving the quality of life in Hampshire County.
